Graphic Novella

Written and Drawn by Dean Garris

A  cultural rift begins to happen between 1764 and 1775 which leads to the American colonies breaking away from England and declaring their independence.

What were the "long train of abuses and usurpations" from the Declaration of Independence?

Was the rebellion really just about tea?

This book is aimed at answering those questions through the eyes of one of history's most enigmatic figures, Benjamin Franklin.

Some key events that are covered in the book are:

  • The Currency Act of 1764

  • The Stamp Act of 1765

  • The formation of the Sons of Liberty and the rallying cry "No taxation without representation"

  • The Townshend Acts of 1767

  • The Boston Massacre

  • The Tea Act of 1773

  • The Boston Tea Party

  • The Intolerable Acts of 1774
